5 ways to remove Blackheads

Fact: blackheads belong to the acne family. And derive their name from, you guessed it right, the colour black. But how? When your pores get clogged because of excess sebum and dead skin cells, a bump forms—let's call it a head for now.

And if air escapes into it (through some way or the other), the melanin within the pore oxidises and turns black. And that's how you're blessed with a black f-ckn head. Where are they found? Science says, they're found lying in the oiliest areas of your face, and in and around it—sometimes even on other parts of your body. But that's just information, what about riddance? Scroll down, man.

1. Scream SALICYLIC ACID.

Even in 2017, men wash their faces with soap and water. For starters, man the f*ck out of that habit, dude. And invest in a face wash that's meant for oily skin and one, that includes blemish-fighting components like salicylic acid.

Like Bombay Shaving Company's Face Cleanser. Just turn the packaging around and brings your eyes to the words. Then walk to the counter and swipe your card. As a thumb rule, invest in mens face washes alone (not ANY face wash). As opposed to products meant for women, face washes for men won't dry your skin out. So, they'll facilitate dead skin cell shedding and unclog pores!

2. Exfoliate like you pee. Time and again.

You'd think that oil and dirt produce blackheads. You're wrong. Most times, your own dead skin cells let you down and result in black heads. So do yourself a favour and exfoliate every other day. But not daily. We recommend: L'OrĂ©al Paris Men Expert Charcoal Scrub.

3. Take pro-help or give yourself a facial.

It's not a girl-thing to do and if you're honest enough, you'd admit to thoughts of getting a facial.

We get it, we've been there too. Point being, facials are refreshing, prevent blackheads and if you have them anyway, they'll help in elimination. There are a million face masks in the market too, just get over your sexist pride and throw one in your cart.

4. Non-comedogenic products, that's all we're asking for.

Not asking for too much now, is it? Whatever your answer, we don't care—we're only helping you here. Non-comedogenic products are specially built to not clog your pores, so we'd suggest you respect their charitable KRA. Always read the label and make a purchase. With these two recommendations, here's us saving some effort for you: Neutrogena's Oil-Free Acne WashKiehl's Blue Herbal Moisturiser

5. Sorry for the annoyance, but you need to moisturise too.

There's only one thing that comes out of daily moisturisation: healthier skin. And of course men want that, including you. Incentive enough, moisturisation (you need it, even if you have oily skin) also helps in improving the quality of your cells, so that they don't shove themselves into another pore soon.
